ABOUT

Francesco Vergani is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Department of Design, Politecnico di Milano. His work centres on participatory and co-design practices that promote civic engagement and social innovation. His current research explores more-than-human communities, with a particular focus on plant agency and multispecies interactions in urban environments. He is a member of the Design Intelligences group and the POLIMI DESIS Lab, contributing to sustainability-oriented projects such as GOCCIA – Green Opportunities to Clean-Up Contaminants through an Interspecies Alliance. He also teaches at the School of Design in courses like “Designing in a Multispecies World” and “Final Design Studio – More-than-Human AI.”
